  Woman was friendly. Mechanic totally unfriendly. Went there Friday afternoon. He had nothing to do, but didn't even wanted to take a quick look without charging 55$. "That's normal, welcome to australia" he said. Went to central motors afterwards, mechanic was friendly but too busy, gave me the card of "Brownies Autos" (08 89722256, 5 Murray st, not on google). Russel Brown was the total life saver. He took him 5 min to figure out that one spark plug connection was loose and only had to be attached properly. I asked him how much he gets and he said "Nothing, that's all right."

  If you are in Katherine and looking for a mechanic, the only place you should go is JW Auto repair. He was recommended to me by a friend and I was really delighted to go to him. I had a big issue with my radiator, he's quote was half the price of an other mechanic and after he fixed the car I was able to drive all around Australia without any problem. I really recommend him for any issues or services.

  I went to Brownies in a little street opposite the Hot Springs. I got pleasant service with smiling faces and totally honest - a rare find these days. Thanks Brownies, if I could find you on the web I'd give you top feedback.

  This bloke was plain rude, feral and totally unhelpful, I asked him if he could take a look at an issue with my car and all I got was a mouthful of swear words about how he'd soon get about 30 phone calls asking for his help so therefore couldn't look at my car which was right at his doorstep with no other car in sight. Some of these guys need to go to customer service school. Total waste of time!
